THRiVE learning partnership
In 2022, THRiVE was delighted to be funded by Barnardo’s Foundation to support THRiVE to gather learning about the collective impact we are making and to share that learning with others.
We began a learning partnership with Stranmillis University College Centre for Research in Educational Underachievement (CREU) and asked them to help THRiVE develop an Impact Infrastructure to measure the impact on aspiration, attainment, well-being and collaboration. And to produce information about they key elements of THRiVE that have contributed to it’s success.
A first report was produced in December 2023 and the recommendations of this report have been shaping plans for THRiVE and led to the first THRiVE conference in June 2024 to share our learning on collective impact, collaborative investment, co-design with communities, implementation and effective collaboration.
Impact Measurement
Our Impact Group has agreed an Impact Measurement Timeline, identifying the types of information we need to collect to show that THRiVE is making a difference for children, young people and families.
Some of the data we are collecting…
- Aspiration – surveys to gain feedback from parents about their awareness of the WE CAN campaign and Pupil Attitude to Self and School (PASS) tests carried out with pupils in schools
- Attainment – standardised attainment scores Progress Towards English (PTE), Progress Towards Maths (PTM), Cognitive Ability (CAT4) and Pupil at primary level and GCSE results at post-primary level.
- Well-being – using Outcomes Stars to help young people and parents track their own progress.
- Collaboration – surveys to gain feedback from organisations involved with THRiVE
